Google Maps Calls for You

Google Maps just got a little cooler today, now offering the ability to call businesses for you right from the left-side listings. Here's how it works:

  1. Go to Google Maps
  2. Type your search query (I'll use Michigan Union, so I can inquire about an event)
  3. Click "call"
  4. Input your phone number as ###-###-#### (and check "Remember" if it's your personal PC)
  5. Pick up your phone when it rings!
It's surprisingly simple and convenient. You never need to take your eyes off the screen when searching for which GameStop has your reserved copy of Zelda: Twilight Princess or if Micro Center still accepts those $100 XBOX 360 rebates.

Whatever the web doesn't have, it seems Google's trying to include in the most seamless way possible.
