No Wii Price Cut - Confirmed

This should come as no surprise whatsoever, but the Nintendo Wii will not be seeing price cuts this holiday season. With ample demand pushing sales and Nintendo receiving gains from every unit sold, Nintendo has no reason to follow in Sony and Microsoft's price-drop decisions.

Says NOA's George Harrison, "We'll stay at USD 249 for the foreseeable future. We are still selling everything we can make."

GamesIndustry.biz also speculates repeat Wii console shortages again this year as the masses run out for gift-buyin', so don't let your guard down- get your Wii early if you plan on buying one.

Will price drops increase competition between the three vying consoles? November and December, we await your bombardment of gaming-related TV ads.
